What to do with a Tree Tube after use?

Let's preface with make sure not to take the Tree Grow Tube off of the tree, whether it's the Tree Pro or the Miracle Tube you want to leave the Tree Tube on until the trunk is touching the inside edge of the tube at the top. Once you have safely removed the tree tube, there are a number of options you can do to dispose or recycle:

  1. Take to your local recycle center. The both of our Tree Protectors are made from 100% High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) or #2 plastic.
  2. You could try to repurpose the tube. We have heard stories of our customers using the tubes as plant pots or bicycle splash guards. Be creative and let us know what you did so we can share with other customers.
  3. You can package them up and ship them to partner of ours Frankfort Plastics (address below). If you ship them to us, we will also deliver them to Frankfort Plastics. Frankfort plastics takes all sorts of undesirable plastics uses a specialized densification process then delivers that material to a company who converts that plastic back into oil to be repurposed across many industries. The material very well could end up back as a tree tube.

Whatever you decide to do, hopefully it's something that further supports the reuse of material.
