Late durable pear that can grow in normal to very harsh conditions. One of the most durable pears we’ve seen. Grows in very dry and high locations. Holds the fruit until November. Cold tolerant (can grow in USDA Zones 3-8). We collect from 2-inch fruit. The fruit is very juicy and a great attractant of deer. The fruit stays hard on the ground in well into November. Has potential for hot dry conditions and poor soils. Great as a human food as well. Fireblight in the south is no problem for this pear.
