Details
The swamp white oak (Quercus bicolor) is a medium-sized tree native to the United States. It thrives in wet environments like lowlands, stream banks, and flood-prone swamps. This tree grows quickly and can live for an impressive 300 to 350 years. Its hard, strong wood is commercially valuable and sold as white oak. Acorns from the swamp white oak are a significant food source for many types of wildlife, especially ducks.
